Large machine manufacturer had a challenge: Experienced engineers are much more efficient in parametrising the CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) production processes. But they are rare.So we built a system that learns from the best, and provides the knowledge to all. In fact, to more than all the company’s engineers, as the platform is now available to their competing production companies, for a fee.This allows to cut the CAM engineering effort by 75%, and the overall production effort by 25%.
Only a small number of the company’s 30’000 engineers are experienced. Those who are not need up to 4 times as long for the CAM engineering process.Learning from the most experienced employees, the system helps all engineers to work much more efficiently, cutting the CAM engineering process time by 75%.
AI solution built into the company's CAM engineering platform that pre-fills the parameters for a CAM process based on learnings from previous such processes.The solution was build on Microsoft's Azure platform, directly sourcing data from the company's production systems, analysing them and providing the best settings for each new production process with OpenAI's technology.
